Eternal Impact Athletics and Eternal Impact Academy are being developed through a phased plan designed to begin producing revenue, serving students, and reaching families as quickly and responsibly as possible. Our first phase will be a four-court field house in Southern Indiana, just minutes from Louisville, Kentucky—built to serve simultaneously as a premier tournament destination and the first home of Eternal Impact Academy.
Phase One: four-court field house + temporary School
Phase One will include a facility centered around four basketball and volleyball courts. The field house will be designed to host high-quality travel basketball and club volleyball tournaments while also providing the classrooms, offices, gathering spaces, and support areas needed to operate Eternal Impact Academy for approximately 20–50 students in grades K–12.
The current plan includes:
Four basketball and volleyball courts with dividers, scoreboards, spectator seating, sound, streaming capabilities, and tournament-ready technology
Four flexible K–12 learning spaces
A middle and high school commons for collaborative and independent learning
Administrative offices, conference and breakout rooms
A secure entrance and visitor check-in area
First-aid and athletic-training space
Restrooms, concessions, storage, and event-support areas
Flexible space for worship, assemblies, recreation, discipleship, and community events
Parking and site planning that allow for future expansion
This is not simply a gym with classrooms attached. It is being designed from the beginning as a flexible discipleship, learning, athletics, and hospitality hub.
Why are we starting indoors?
Beginning with an indoor field house gives the mission its strongest opportunity to become financially sustainable early.
Outdoor fields are limited by weather, seasons, daylight, and field conditions. An indoor facility can host basketball and volleyball tournaments throughout the year, potentially operating on as many as 50 weekends annually. It can also generate weekday revenue through practices, leagues, camps, clinics, rentals, training, school events, and community programming.
This approach allows the first building to serve two immediate purposes while creating the revenue engine needed for everything that follows.
Starting indoors allows us to:
Generate tournament revenue year-round
Begin serving students and families sooner
Create multiple revenue streams within one building
Reduce weather-related cancellations and lost income
Establish the athletics operation before expanding outdoors
Build the financial foundation for future phases
PHASE TWO: DESIGNED TO GROW
During Phase One, the rooms surrounding the field house will serve as classrooms, offices, student-support spaces, and collaborative learning areas for approximately 20–50 Eternal Impact Academy students.
As tournament revenue, enrollment, tuition, and eligible education funding become established, Phase Two will add a dedicated school building. The school will be designed with classrooms, collaborative learning spaces, hands-on labs, worship and assembly areas, and room for future expansion.
Once the Academy moves into its permanent home, the original field house rooms will transition into spaces that elevate the athletic and tournament experience, including:
Team film and strategy rooms
Media and press rooms
Coaches’ and officials’ meeting rooms
Hospitality and sponsor suites
Volunteer and tournament headquarters
Donor gathering spaces
Clinics, conferences, and event rooms
Enhanced concessions and food-service support
Every square foot is being planned for both its immediate purpose and its long-term role. This phased design allows the first building to serve students from the beginning, then grow into a fully developed tournament destination as the Academy expands into a dedicated environment for discipleship, academics, life skills, leadership development, and preparation for life beyond graduation.
A Model for sustainability
Start Up
We are deeply grateful for every person who gives to help launch this mission. However, our long-term plan is not to remain dependent on continual donor support.
Initial gifts will help us acquire property, construct the first facility, purchase equipment, and begin operations.
Revenue
Once established, the combined Academy and athletics model is intended to generate revenue through:
Basketball and volleyball tournaments
Facility and court rentals
Leagues, camps, clinics, and training
Admissions, concessions, and special events
School enrollment and tuition
Eligible education funding and grants
Partnerships, sponsorships, and facility programming
Future outdoor tournaments and athletic expansion
the gospel beyond EIA
The goal is a financially sustainable ministry capable of funding the work God has called us to do—not only in Southern Indiana, but eventually across the nation and around the world.
As the model grows, we hope to provide seed funding, grants, training, and practical support to leaders in other communities who feel called to establish similar ministries.
One facility can serve thousands of families. A reproducible model can influence generations.
Experienced Partners
Eternal Impact Academy and Athletics is working with Shireman Construction and Grace Design to develop the field house plans, site requirements, and detailed construction estimates.
The team is evaluating court configuration, seating, safety, classrooms, hospitality spaces, parking, technology, future expansion, and all applicable building and school requirements. The design will balance practical flexibility with creative storytelling rooted in Jeremiah 17:8.
Once estimates are finalized, we will publish a clear Phase One budget with opportunities to fund:
Each of the four courts
Court equipment and technology
Athlete testimony walls
Classrooms and future hospitality spaces
Medical, media, concessions, and family amenities
Furnishings and startup needs
Professional and collegiate athletes who fund a court or major space will have the opportunity to share their testimony within the facility—giving glory to God and pointing the next generation toward Jesus.
God is bigger than this plan
We have approached this plan prayerfully, seeking wisdom, responsible counsel, and God’s direction at every stage. We believe the four-court field house is the strongest and most sustainable place to begin based on what we currently know.
At the same time, this plan is not an attempt to place limits on what God can do.
We understand that His direction may include opportunities, resources, partnerships, or timing we cannot yet see. If God opens a door that changes the order of construction—whether through a donor who feels led to fund baseball and softball fields, an unexpected opportunity, or another provision—we will prayerfully consider it.
We will plan carefully, steward responsibly, and move forward diligently while holding every timeline and phase with open hands.
We pray He gives us hearts that bleed, eyes wide open to see, minds that clearly interpret His purpose, a will of obedience, and determination that is utterly unflinching.
